Privacy

The short version

This site has no accounts, no sign-ups and no adverts. It sets no cookies at all unless you pass the age confirmation on the way to Patreon. It never sees your name, your email or your IP address.

What is recorded

When a page is opened, one row is written: the time, which link was involved, which video tag brought you (the ?v= on the address, if there was one), what happened, the referring address, and the two-letter country your request came from. That is the whole record. There is no IP address, no device fingerprint, no user agent and nothing that identifies a person. It exists so we can tell which videos bring people here.

Requests that look automated are not recorded at all.

Cookies and local storage

• None on an ordinary visit. Reading the site sets nothing.
• cc_verified is set only if you confirm before continuing to Patreon, and only to remember that you did. It is not used for tracking.
• Reading position and page theme are kept in your browser's local storage so a book reopens where you stopped. That never leaves your device and is not readable by us.
• cc_admin exists only for the site owner signing in to the dashboard.

Other companies involved

• Cloudflare hosts the site, so it handles every request. Its Turnstile check runs before the Patreon link and sets its own cookies to tell people from bots.
• Google Fonts serves the two typefaces. Loading a font means your browser contacts Google directly, and Google will see your IP address as part of that. This is the most significant flow of data to anyone other than us on this site, and it happens on every page.
• Patreon and YouTube are separate sites with their own policies. Once you click through, you are their visitor, not ours.

How long it is kept

Click records are kept while they are useful and are cleared periodically. Because nothing in them identifies a person, they cannot be traced back to you or handed to you on request.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU you have rights over personal data held about you. We do not knowingly hold any, so in practice there is nothing to access, correct or delete. If you think otherwise, write and we will look into it.
